About Hew Square

We are a small online tea shop selling Chinese teas and teaware to customers in the United States, Europe and around the world.

Our range focuses on oolong from Wuyi Shan and the Phoenix Mountains, red teas from Fujian and Yunnan, and a few seasonal blends. Alongside the tea we offer porcelain, celadon and handmade stoneware for brewing it.

How we choose tea

We buy in small lots, directly or through long-standing partners in each region. Every batch is tasted before it is listed, and each product page tells you the region, harvest season and roast level, so you know exactly what you are buying.

Prices

Our teas range from everyday leaf to rare single-bush lots. Price reflects how much of a tea exists, the age of the trees, and how much hand work goes into it, not packaging.
